Patch 1.12

Patch 1.12 is one of the Patches in the game Champions of Breakfast.

List of changes

Mysterious

• Secret Level

• A secret level has been added somewhere in the game
• Good luck finding it!

Interface and Menus

• Spice Rack

• The Spice Rack has been added to the Main Menu
• Spices pose additional challenges for the bravest of champions
• Each enabled spice multiplicatively increases your score by 10%

• Visibility

• The Targeting Reticle is now yellow and larger to avoid losing it in the fray

• Sound Control

• Additional volume controls have been added for music and effects

• Controller

• It should now be easier to navigate the main menu with a controller
• It should now be easier to navigate the settings menu with a controller

• Language

• All of the menus now use a custom pancake font instead of sprites
• This has improved our ability to localize the game in new languages
• This also reduces the overall download size of the game

Gameplay

• Leaderboards

• The Leaderboards have been reset as we prepare to leave Early Access

• Levels

• Levels are now distributed in a random order.

• Characters

• The Toaster's basic attack speed modifier has been improved to 0.15 from 0.18
• The Whisk's basic attack particles have been slightly reduced
• The Whisk's base health has been improved to 5 from 4
• The Teapot's base damage has been improved to 0.5 up from 0.4
• The Teapot's attack cone has been tightened to 10 degrees down from 15
• The Toaster Oven now fires a Super Strudel every 10th attack

• Enemies

• Enemies during boss fights once again give score multiplier
• Laser weapon dodge time no longer decreases as difficulty increases
• Horse Painting attack speed has been reduced to 1.8 down from 1.5
• Paint Cans splats are now a brighter more visible red
• Melee enemy base speed has been reduced.

• Mini-Bosses

• Mini-Bosses now display an icon based on their current health
• All Mini-Boss health has been slightly reduced for Normal Mode
• The Toolbox now spawns enemies more slowly at a rate of 1.0 before modifiers up from 0.7
• The Sink no longer gains increasing attack speed at higher levels of play
• The Sink now makes a sound when it fires
• The Curling Iron now makes a sound when it fires
• The Curling Iron now changes attack modes when its shield goes down
• The Curling Irons health has been significantly increased
• The Speakers no longer gain increasing attack speed at higher levels of play
• The Barbecue no longer gains increasing attack speed at higher levels of play

• Bosses

• Bosses now display an icon based on their current health
• All Boss health has been slightly reduced for Normal Mode
• The TV now also takes damage when other enemies are killed
• The TV now spawns enemies more slowly at a rate of 1.5 before modifiers up from 1.0
• The TV now moves more quickly at a speed of 5 up from 4
• Remotes spawned during The TV encounter now provide additional time to dodge their lasers
• The Gazebo now spawns enemies more slowly at a rate of 1.0 before modifiers up from 0.7
• The Gazebo now only spawns 50 enemies down from 100
• The Recliner now fires more slowly at a rate of 1.2 before modifiers up from 1.0
• The Recliner now has a unique firing sound

• Passives

• Raspberry is now a Blackberry to differentiate from damaging bullets
• Blackberry now deals 0.5 damage per bullet down from 1.0 damage
• Blackberry now explodes at a random location on screen instead of on walls
• Asparagus has been added as a basic passive that targets nearby enemies
• Marmalades heal over time effectiveness has been doubled
• Muffin damage has been normalized to matc each champions basic attack damage

• Super Foods

• Coffee is now a Super Food and is much more powerful
• Orange Juice on the Teapot will now fire forward when using a controller
• Jelly on the Toaster Oven will now fire forward when using a controller
• Egg on the Toaster Oven will now fire forward when using a controller
• Orange Juice on the Toaster Oven has been redesigned to create land-mines

Audio

• Bug Fixes

• Rapidly clicking menu and then start game after a death will no longer start the game with boss music playing

Community

• Toaster Oven Event

• The Toaster Oven is close to being unlocked by the community
• Kill bosses with your friends to hurry it along!

Achievements

• New Additions

• There are 31 new achievements to obtain

• Bug Fixes

• The Sniper of Breakfast achievement is now granted at 75% accuracy
• Takes Two to Tango can no longer be obtained while dead
